A spa hotel in Alcossebre is the perfect finishing touch to a few quiet days in Las Fuentes: a morning stroll, lunch by the sea and an afternoon of warm water and a massage. Here's what you'll find and where.
The spa at Alcossebre Sea Experience
The spa at Alcossebre Sea Experience opened in January 2020 and is designed as an intimate space for relaxation. It has two parts:
- Hydrotherapy centre: an indoor, heated dynamic pool, used all year round, with hydromassage seats, a bubble volcano, a waterfall and a swan-neck pressure jet.
- Thermal centre:sauna, steam room with eucalyptus essences, a contrast shower (bucket shower) and two Scottish showers.
The spa also welcomes children aged 3 to 11 during set hours; if you want maximum peace, ask about private spa sessions, booked just for you as a couple or group.
Massages
The aparthotel offers a menu of 30 to 60-minute massages: relaxing and deep tissue leg and back massage, full-body massage, a rose ritual, Japanese cranio-facial massage, Thai foot reflexology, traditional Thai massage and the Heaven and Earth (Cielo y Tierra) massage. Days and times may vary, so it's best to check and book when you arrive.
Beyond the spa
- Rooftop skybar, with an infinity pool and Balinese beds: views over the beach, the Mediterranean and the town, and a great spot for watching the sunset.
- Relaxation and yoga room, for stretching or simply switching off.
- Fully equipped gym.
If you prefer a hotel with a livelier feel
If a classic hotel with a buffet, pool and a bit of entertainment is more your thing, Hotel Alcossebre, on the seafront promenade, runs aqua aerobics, live music and shows. It has no spa, but it's around 400 metres from the marina and Las Fuentes beach.
A two-day plan in Las Fuentes
- Morning: stroll along Les Fonts beach to see the springs and carry on to the marina.
- Lunchtime: a rice or fish lunch by the sea, at the marina.
- Afternoon: spa circuit and a massage.
- Day two: walk to the lighthouse and Cala Blanca, and catch the sunset at the skybar.
Everything you need for that walk is in the guide to Las Fuentes, and if you haven't chosen your accommodation yet, compare options in where to stay in Las Fuentes.
Even better out of season
The spa's heated pool is open all year and the aparthotel doesn't close in winter. With more than 2,700 hours of sunshine a year on this coast, a spa break in spring, autumn or winter is just as good as in summer, and a lot quieter.
